 St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, Austin TX
Head of Upper School- July 2008 – present

Responsible for all aspects of upper school operation for 475 students and 75 members of faculty.

  • Recruitment, retention and on-going professional growth for teaching, coaching, and residential staff
  • Development of diverse educational program including classroom curriculum, athletic and extra-curricular offerings, and a chapel program
  • Serve on senior administrative team to set vision and execute strategic plan
  • Create effective communication avenues with all constituents of school to include students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni.

 St. Paul’s School, Concord, New Hampshire

 Vice Rector for Students- 2006-2008

Responsible for all aspects of student life at school.

  • Served Rector and school is all aspects of school leadership including decision-making on day-to-day affairs when he is at school and day-to-day leadership of school while he is away
  • Served on trustee committees and attend all Trustee meetings, preparing strategic goals and the presentation of strategic issues
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed below under Dean of Students, adding the supervision of the Athletic Department and its operation

Responsible for the student support system for approximately five hundred high school boarding students including:

  • Residential Life and the issues that arise for students and faculty living in eighteen dormitories including disciplinary system and student violations of major and minor expectations, including offenses that result in suspensions, dismissals, and expulsions
  • Health Center – including counseling personnel and issues that arise in this fully residential community
  • Academic Support – including tutoring, untimed testing, course advising and student placement
  • Innovative residential curriculum taught weekly in eighteen dormitories

 Director of Athletics – September 1991 – September 1996

Responsible for twenty-four interscholastic teams and a vital intramural and recreational program

Taught all levels from Algebra I through Calculus throughout this time period

Responsible for supervision and management for 30 person dorm and 4 person adult supervisory team

 Interscholastic Coach- September 1982-2008

  • Coached varsity football, track and field, basketball, and lacrosse at both head and assistant levels
  • New England championships in football, boys track and field (four times), girls squash
  • Named Lacrosse Man of the Year 2008,  New England Region
