Burch Ford, Administrative Coach
Burch Ford graduated from Boston University and subsequently earned an MSW (Simmons College School of Social Work) and an EdM (Harvard University), but claims two years in the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa, the most formative part of her education.
Following 35 years in boarding schools: Concord Academy (Dorm Director, five years), Groton School (School Counselor/Teacher, 10 years), Milton Academy (Dean of Students/Teacher, five years), and Miss Porter’s School (Head of School, 15 years), Burch is currently President of the Naitonal Coaltion of Girls’ School, is an Associate of Wingspan Partnerships, and serves on the board of King’s Academy (Jordan), Maranyundo Girls’ School (Rwanda), CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), the Petit Family Foundation, and NEASC’s CAISA (Commission on American and International Schools Abroad). Previous board appointments include TABS, Middlesex, NCGS, Avon Old Farm National Council, and NAPSG (leading the Professional Leadership Seminar, eight years). Her work has also included school consultation and leadership of numerous workshops on residential life, governance, and adolescent development.
